Book Reflection

The Hunger Games

I read the book the hugner games by Suzanne Collins and was publiced in 2008. Why I choosed to read this book is beause I had watched the movie and didnt have time to read the book, so this was a good time to do it.
The main character in the book is Katniss Everdeen, she is sixteen years old and lived with her mom and sister and district twelve. Pamen where they lived is divided in thirteen different districts and Katniss belonged to twelfth.
Each years in Pamen they will have a game called the hunger game, in this game they will raffle out two person from each districts one boy and one girl and they will participate in a game with other people from other districts. the game is based on killing eachother and the last stand wins and everything they do will be broadcasted live on television. From district twelve this year was Peeta Mellark as a boy and Katniss her self after free volunteers instead of her younger sister. They was transfered to the capital and there they train, show up thiers skills before the game will start.
In the game we will follow Katniss is doing in the game, how she and Peeta will help eachother instead of killing eachother and how Katniss and Peeta would take suicide instead of killing eachother at the end. That lead to both of them won the game, and broke the rule of the game only one can win the game.

After I watched the movie and read the book, i was thinking about ourselft and how the television industry is today. I know its not the same, but there is something that remind about us. Because as them we nearly do everything and have it broadcast on television just for viewing points. There is plenty of wierd television programs that is very popular. Like big Brother, there people will be lock in a house with eachother and everything they do will be recorded by cameras. And like other program like swap wifes with eathother for a week, i dont know why poeple want to do it, it jsut wierd. And there is many more programs like that, just for getting viewing points.

Technology

Reflaction
I think the technology is a must in our daily routine. You can’t go a day without your cellphone, laptop or other devises. You can’t leave your house without your phone in your pocket. You can’t even go train like go to the gym, running and walking without technology. Why is it so?
It’s because we have everything in our cell phone or laptop. We got friends, family, memory, music, movie, news game etc. All of that is in your phone and you are just one click away from it. If you are boring take out the phone and watch a movie, if you are working out put on your headset and listen to music, if you miss your family call them and or just take watch at some old memory picture in your phone. If you want to kill some time, just take out your phone and play some game installed on your phone.
That’s why you can’t leave behind your phone and technology is a big part in our life, no matter what. It’s just a thing we need to except and adapt too.

Facebook reflection

Facebook have changed the world in many ways, like in the article it makes people connect to each other no matter where in the world you live. You can now sit and talk to an unknown person on the other side of the globe that you couldn’t talk to if not of Facebook.
Facebook made people come together and help people who are in need of help. Like when there was an event where Facebook donated money and food to poor children in Africa depends on how many likes and share a post that made for this event got. That made people around the world come together and supported in that event.
That’s the good thing about Facebook, but everything has two faces, if there is a good side there will be a bad side too.

So let us take a look at what I hate most with Facebook.
Facebook became so big is because of the amount of daily user and the total user they got around the globe. I agree that Facebook is a good tool that helps to connect people and help those who are in need.
But what I hate with is the people who are so addicted to it that they can’t take their eyes of their cellphone. I know that people log in everyday and check status, post and what their friends are doing. But it’s a problem if you are sitting and eat dinner and have a conversation with your friend, but u never sees their faces. Because their faces are watching down on their phone and check what other is doing on Facebook. That made me so frustrated that I want to take their phone and throw it away. And another problem is check in and take photo so you can post it on Facebook. Where ever you go they want to check in, take photo and post on Facebook people even take picture of what they eat and post it.

So please stop that // Duy Quang
